Voting for projects in Better Neighborhoods finished with a 23% participation increase from last year, slipping just under the numbers for the first vote, four years ago. 7.3% of citizens with a right to vote (all residents of Reykjavík from 16 years of age) showed up electronically and cast their vote on which projects they wanted realized in their neighborhoods. The vote is binding with the City of Reykjavík pledging to realize the projects within the year.
